What is Botulinum Toxin Used For?

Botulinum Toxin is most commonly used in the treatment of facial wrinkles and armpit sweating. It has both therapeutic and protective properties. It enables the lines that have settled on the face over the years to be completely opened, as well as the lines that have not yet settled on the face but become prominent with repetitive muscle movements to be corrected without deepening. It also ends excessive sweating with its sweat glands blocking effect.

How Long Does Botulinum Toxin Work?

When first applied to wrinkles on the face, the effect lasts an average of 4.5-6 months. With repeated applications, this period extends up to 8-10 months over time. When first applied to the armpit, it regulates sweating for an average of 10-12 months. With repeated applications, this period extends up to 16-18 months.
